We are proud to announce the release of NixBill Automation 1.3.2.

In this release, the major update is the addition of Encryption Modules. With the new encryption module section, you now have the ability to add your own encryption routines to NixBill. Using the NixBill software allows you to have different encryption routines from anyone. This new encryption module prevents you from having all of your credit card data encrypted the same way. You will be able to add as many encryption modules as you need. The encryption module used on an account is stored with that account. Even when you change the default module, the data that was encrypted with other modules is still available. Another feature gained with the addition of encryption modules is the use of PGP type encryption. You can now have a moudle designed to encrypt data with PGP and require a key to decrypt that data. This requires that you input your key to process renewals, but we have made that simple also. When renewals that require a key need to run, you will be alerted and asked to enter your key. Any invoice that needs that key will then run, not requiring the key to be entered for every invoice. This could be setup as a once-a-day task to process renewals. Using this type of setup creates greater security for your cleints in case of a breach in security. Without knowing the private key (pass phrase) for the public key used in PGP the data cannot be decrypted.

The referer tracking system has also been added to allow you to track websites that link to your site.

After this release we will be focusing on bug fixes and polishing the complete NixBill system. Unless a new feature is deemed required, we will not be adding new features until after 1.4 is released. We will continue to fix any bugs that come up as soon as we get notification of them. We will be going through all the code base and improving sections that could be made to work better. The admin and client sections will be converted to the jQuery javascript libraries instead of prototype. We have already moved the order and CMS systems to jQuery. We also have a few modules that will be finished soon and added to the system (domains and hosting modules).
